This beautiful breastfeeding art is an African hand-carved statue of a mother breastfeeding her baby. The appraiser says of this statue that it is “A vintage Fanti carved mother and child group from the Akuaba area of Southern Ghana, 20th Century. The carved hardwood figure is depicting a mother and nursing child seated on a stool, feet with carvings to the undersides, with an elaborately carved headdress.” It has been appraised with an insurance value of $300.
